Our water jet uses a mixture of high pressure water and garnet abrasives. It can cut nearly any type of material, such as metal, wood, glass, rubber, foam, and plastic up to 3” thick and within +/- .005" with 0 taper.
Stewart Fabrication has a large capacity Flow Waterjet Cutting System with Integrated Flying Bridge. It has a 6'x12' table, which is great for larger scale items, and utilizing full sheets of material without waste.
Unlike flame cutting, water jet cutting results in a smoother finish. This eliminates a lot of labor in secondary finishing. Parts are strategically nested to reduce material costs as well. See our video below.
